About Owner, Jacqueline Johnson

Hi, I'm Jacqueline, the owner and creator of Luminary Soap Co.

This journey started in my twenties, with a diagnosis of an incurable cancer that changed how I saw everything I put in my body and on my skin. I held onto those values around creating longevity for myself, but I was also faced with seasons of survival that led me to slowly lose touch with the creative and playful side of myself, the way so many of us can when life gets in the way.

Soapmaking found me when I finally had room to remember. It became my creative outlet, a season that slowly brought the light back, and a place where everything those years had taught me about care and quality could finally come together.

I hope Luminary is a reminder for you too, whether life has been hard, busy, or simply full. My hope is that each bar is a small pause, a moment to remember, and a reason to trust what you're putting on your skin again.
